In case of an accident, please check for injuries and call 911 if you need immediate medical assistance!

If you are involved in an accident with your rented vehicle, contact the rental business you have rented from and notify them as soon as possible and describe the nature of the incident, injuries, and damage.

Your rental operator must file the claim and submit all required claim documents to MBA Insurance within 7 days of the incident.

Note: Claims involving injuries must be reported to your rental operator immediately so they may inform MBA Insurance right away!

File a Claim


Be sure to have the following information handy when you file a claim:

  • Last 6 of VIN of the covered rental vehicle involved in the incident
  • Date and time of the incident
  • Description of the incident
  • Description of damages
  • Location of incident
  • Any other property or vehicles involved in the incident
  • Any other parties involved in the incident
  • Signed rental agreement
  • Rental check-out and check-in forms
  • Policy report (if applicable)
  • Estimate (if applicable)
Start a Claim Online – For MBA Policyholders Only:

  • Log In to your Customer Service Center
  • On your Customer Service Center Dashboard navigation bar, select “Submit a Claim”
  • Complete the online accident report form to the best of your ability
  • Enter “unknown” if you are unsure of the answer or “N/A” if question is not applicable
  • Upload all pertinent documents and pictures
  • Submit your claim

Log In to Your Account

Once you filed your claim, here is what you should expect:

  • A claim number and an adjuster will be assigned to your claim
  • Your assigned adjuster will contact you regarding your claim within 2 business days from date of filing
  • Your adjuster may request additional information to proceed if necessary
  • Your adjuster will provide you with the next steps in the process in order to close your claim
  • ** If you do not hear from your adjuster within 2 business days from the time you filed your claim, please call us at 800.622.2201 or email us at [email protected]. We will provide you with your adjuster’s contact information and claim number.
